1. What we collect

• Account: your email address, and the one-time sign-in codes we send you (you sign in with a code, no password).
• Delivery details: your name, mobile number and one delivery address.
• Orders: what you ordered, the amount, the date, and whether the payment succeeded, was refunded or ended. Payment details themselves are handled by our payment partner, not by us.
• What others see: when you buy a Black Reserve bottle, your first name is shown on the public bottle map, on the bottles you own, and in the “Last claimed” line under it. Nothing else about you (surname, email, mobile or address) is ever shown. You can turn this off under My account; you then show as “a collector”.
• Messages: anything you email us. The contact page opens your own email app with your message ready; nothing is stored on the page itself.
• Technical data: basic request records (such as time and error details) that our hosting and database providers keep to run and secure the service.

2. Why we use it

To create and secure your account, take and deliver your orders, process payments and refunds, send you the emails described below, answer your questions, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and accounting duties. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.

3. The emails we send

We send transactional emails only: messages you need because of something you did on the site.

• One-time sign-in codes.
• Updates about an order: that a payment was received, your bottle number if it has to be assigned after you pay, and refunds. Shipping progress is shown under My account.
• Personal replies to a question or problem you raised with us.

We do not send newsletters, promotions or marketing emails. If we ever wished to, we would first ask for your separate permission and give you a clear way to say no. Our emails come from the kokuperfumery.com domain and are delivered by our email service provider. If you did not expect an email from us, write to [email protected].

4. Who helps us handle your information

We share information only with the services below, and only what each needs to do its job. We do not sell it.

• Database and sign-in

  Stores your account, orders and addresses securely, and handles signing in.

• Hosting and security

  Delivers and protects our website, and counts visits to it without cookies (pages viewed, no personal profile).

• Payment gateway

  An RBI-authorised payment partner takes your payment on its own secure page and tells us whether it succeeded. We never see your card, UPI or bank details.

• Email delivery

  Sends our transactional emails (sign-in codes and order updates) from kokuperfumery.com.

• Delivery partners

  Receive your name, phone number and address, only to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Some of these providers process data outside India.

5. Cookies

We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, only the few items the site needs to work. The details are in our Cookie Policy.

6. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Each customer can see only their own account and orders, and the seller tools are restricted to the owner and need a PIN and password. Payment details never pass through our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to keep yours safe.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account for as long as you have one. Order and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal details, keeping only the records the law obliges us to keep.

8. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw a permission you gave. You can change your name, mobile number, address, and whether your first name is shown on the Black Reserve page, yourself under My account. For anything else, write to [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can.

9. Children

Our site is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and its date, and for a material change we will show a notice on the site.
